Painted (Industrial Coating)

  • Best for: Indoor plants, clean/dry areas, general manufacturing.
  • Pros: Lower cost, faster lead time, colour options.
  • Cons: Needs periodic touch‑ups if scratched; not ideal for harsh corrosion.
  • Maintenance: Visual inspection; recoat chips/scratches.

Hot‑Dip Galvanized

  • Best for: Coastal, outdoors, wash‑down, humid or corrosive environments.
  • Pros: Excellent corrosion resistance; durable zinc layer inside & out.
  • Cons: Higher cost; longer lead time; silver/grey aesthetic.
  • Maintenance: Minimal; inspect for mechanical damage.

Lead Times & Paperwork

  • Painted: typically quickest to supply.
  • Galvanized: allow extra time for dipping & certification.
  • Both supplied as SANS 347 compliant pressure vessels with documentation.
